Thank you, well I don’t know, like the pearl it gives other people joy but makes the oyster suffer. Brodsky wrote about this in his books. His conclusion was that suffering is not necessary to write great poetry.

Quite interesting to know that. I agree that sorrow isn’t necessary, but I guess it saturated that feeling of sorrow in words. Again, different techniques work for different poets, so…
