Making up for the loss
That cannot be covered
Trying to heal the wounds
That cannot be healed
Limping on through life
Without any hope
Without any purpose
The day is long
The night will be sleepless

Is gone
Everything will end eventually
That is the very nature of things
While we are here
Life seems so permanent
When in fact everything
Is floating on the
Waves of time and matter
Morning has broken
Madness has broken
Broken us down
In this mad town
We live by the day
Keeping out of the
Difficult way
Sometimes the memory is gone
Some parts of the brain does not work
Anymore
A glitch
A separation between two parts
That need each other
Here I am lost
The crisis is here
Trying to mitigate the anxiety
The realization that I will
Be on the street
Soon
Frustration and desire
Mixing
Freezing limbs and the barren soul
Creating a rigid posture
To stand up to what life demands
When things start to fall
Apart in midlife
Wisdom is hard to earn
The name of the currency
Is your life
Is your hope
That is hard to handle
This is not what I dreamed of
But this is my destiny
To pay a price
So high
That I will never make it
In the real world
That is the price of being
Called “Wise”
Trying to put together things
Demonstrating ignorance
Of fundamental functions
Still trying to mend the bike
