Somber Field Exercise

Sometimes life is just destructive

Everything falls apart

When you give up

Playing a game of chess

Blindfolded

Have to remember every

Move I make

And only guess

The action of my enemy

Of course I am losing

But still the memories

Keeps me going

Until that day

When the blindfold

Is removed

Forgetting to Remember

We all need nurture

Finding hope and connection

With other people

For some this is easy

For other this is hard

I start from the beginning

Every day

And still this is not true

But it feels that way

Therefore

Remember to forget

Forget to remember

By the Sea

My Memories is like

The walls of a crumbling

Castle by the sea

Most details are lost

Washed out into the sea

Some things remains

In tatters broken

By time and ignorance

Slowly slowly

I mend my castle again

Waiting for the next storm

Insights

The body feels

Lonely

Just as the mind

A sad collection

Of muscles, movements

And memories

I did not ask for this

Still I am here

Unable to move

Beyond the memories

Of past trauma

What I once was

Afterlife

When we are gone

We become

Just ideas

A fantasy in the mind of the other

An example or a dear memory

But this is not us

We are so much more
