The Rugged Man

Ruffling through and around

About to do something illegal

While being terrible drunk

I am here and always part of

The picture

The city can’t live without

My breath or reek of alcohol

And sometimes amphetamine

Keeps me going

My life will eventually be cut short

By the cold and the drugs

Maybe Jesus will save me

Maybe not,

When I am gone someone

Else almost identical

Will replace me

That Black Addiction

Coffee is an awful drink

Black and dirty

Coloring your teeth’s and mind

Stressing your system

Making you an helpless addict

Paying noisy city cafés

Exuberant amount of

Money and time

For that black poison

with a cake or two

More and more it demands

Until you are trembling

And shivering

No good cure or

Coffee addicts anonymous

To save your lost soul

Only green tea, that methadone

Give some relief

The wise man drink his

Pure water on a Sunday afternoon
