Drifting

Life is so much pain

Sometimes

So hard, so long

Floating on a raft

On an ocean

Knowing that

I might never reach

The shore but forever

Drifting along the stream of desire

My desires

Other peoples desires

Floating along

Hoping to reach the shore

While the wind and currents

Have their say

Drifting Away

Falling over and you find yourself

In the middle of the stream

The danger is as greatest there

Strong and vigil it takes you

Under the surface in to the black current

Surviving is only possible while

Drifting of in cold water to the edge

Wash your body ashore on the rocky beach

Drifting

Raft sea endless water

Relentless wind

Drifting up and down the current

Wherever the wind

Takes this tiny vessel

That used to be my freedom

Turned into a salty prison

California

I see my life passing

And suddenly connecting

To other people’s stories

But where am I

In all this mess

Just drifting

On the great river of

Life and desires

Just so lost

The rest of my life

Might be bitter and sour

But I am proud that

Eventually I left for

Something completely

Different
