The Spring War

The war started

Early in May

Being lost a surprisingly

Quick speed

We hid in our basements

Trying to make the most of it

But when the heavy rains

Started in June

We had enough

By then the war was over

But the problems remained

So we took our last money

And went to the mountain

Being treated as outcasts by

The locals

We spent the evenings

Discussing Nietzsche and kept

To ourselves

In the autumn we returned

To the city with

A completely new view of the world

Wartime Walk

Running for my life

It is early in the morning

The first day of the war

I am sweating

The blood in the gutter

And all the bodies

Still warm torned apart

Bloodless white skin

I have no time

Time ended today

Still time is important

If there is any chance

We might make it

But the truth is

It is too late

The Old Country

Disasters come and go

We had luck and got

Through on a number

Travelling with a little

Different drama

Memories never left us

Covering us in dust and cobwebs

Trying to adjust to a new world

Is difficult

Denmark

The dark side om mankind

Is not only to be found in war

In the most peaceful places

The worst evil abound

The evil of selfishness

Is hard to forgive

And we should never forget

The darkness that dwells within

Is often worse than

That, that is visible

Harder than stone

Is still the will

But broken it shall always be

In the end

The Twisting Tail

the world turns on a word
