A Journey Through the City

Having no peace of mind

I went through the city

The rain had just started

Arriving at the square

Crowded with people

Some with masks

But most without

Drinking beer and congregating

The tedious quarantine

Had been to no avail

We went on like life was

Normal but still very strange

A lot of old people dying

Inside secluded institutions

Filling up the morgue

And keeping the undertakers busy

The almost empty underground

And few old people in the street

Keeping their distance

Told us that

The summer that would be different

The journey then became one of fear

And curiosity

We did not know why we were here

And what our role would be

All bets seemed open

Gray Summer Sky

The relentless rain

Eternal and life giving

Will fall for 24 hours and

Returning the island to normality

Emptying it quickly from

Holiday makers and alike

Creating a silence only broken by

The rhythmic sound of rain

Falling on a corrugated roof

Communicating something or

Nothing in it’s hidden pattern

Bleaching the illusion of

Progress and meaning

The winter kept us warm

So that the summer

Would makes us wet and cold

Soon the summer will be over

Only the bitter rain remains

Whatever season

Falling

Throughout the millenniums

Cold Love

Dreaming in the cold

White night

Of summer

Love is cold

Like ice in the summer

Love is cool

Emotions frozen

Frozen yogurt

Will not

Keep you warm

At night

Message of Change

This year, like last year

In this cold and damp

Country

We had the earliest and

longest summer

Ever known

The woods started burning

And the grass turned brown

Already in May, the cattle

Had to be slaughtered

Because of the drought

It is a great illusion

That nothing will

Change or is changing

This summer is also

Comes early

We do not need to

Continue this road of

Self destruction

This summer one month

Earlier than normal

Changes everything

The great illusion

Is believing that our

World will not change

being here

But being there,

Forest

Running out into the forest

Trapped in my dream

Soon it will be summer

Life returns and the circule

Renews itself
